Meet Violet, the lucky mouse. She was purchased to be lunch for a snake but the snake did not want to eat her.  So, the snake’s owner posted an online notice that anyone who needed a mouse could come and get her. The posting was seen by a customer of Animal Nature, a pet shop in Regent Square, who collected the mouse and brought her to the shop, where she is now up for adoption (not lunch).
