Releasing the firkins at Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week
Volunteer Jenny Fuga, of Westview, sports a beer-inspired manicure Saturday during the Release the Firkins Real Ale Fest at Highmark Stadium. The event offered about 40 “real ales,” brews that are cask-conditioned in small kegs called firkins, and poured by gravity — not with C02 pressure for carbonation.
